Experience and Enthusiasm
McCade Design was established in 1999 in Alexandria, Virginia, in response
to a request to assist clients in the field of instructional technology.
Our
first two clients were the Systems Engineering programs at Portland State University
and Virginia Tech. The experience with these two programs led to additional
work outside the field of online learning and gave us the opportunity to enter
the (wild) world of web design without the constrictions of specific tools
and platforms.
We have worked with over 50 clients in a varied array of enterprises (ranging from vintage apples to wineries). The combined experience of the staff and our excitement about what we do allows us to work successfully with one another and with our clients.
Lisa McCade
Lisa is the managing partner of McCade Design and is responsible for client management and communications, graphic design, and the integration of our products with our designs. Her background includes positions in recruiting, fundraising, and marketing - which miraculously ended up being a good combination for making the leap to running a small business. Lisa has been working as a designer for over nine years and is proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and a wide variety of development tools such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Dan McCade
Dan has over 24 years of experience in programming, data modeling, software development, and project management. Dan works with our clients to gather requirements needed to build and customize the products that allow the web to streamline common business practices (commerce, registration, mailing list management, etc.) He brings a calmness and clarity to all of our projects which is crucial in this business. Dan's previous employers include Texas Instruments, Sterling Software, and Software Performance Systems.
Rebecca Beaver
Becky is our Business Manager and handles all financial details - from taxes to payroll. She is an expert in Quickbooks, Excel, and dealing with the IRS. Becky worked as a senior manager at GE Medical Systems for over fifteen years, is a Realtor© in Atlanta, Georgia and continues to work wonders for multiple small businesses and non-profits. Her energy and enthusiasm for everything she does is a true inspiration to everyone who knows her.
